Much to report on, but in the meantime, look what I finished while snowed up at home:

This picture is hopelessly dark, but I just couldn't wait until tomorrow. More pictures (and info) to come tomorrow, as well as more info on the Valentines Square Dance and the (absolutely amazing) pie that I bid on and won. Just for teasers...

The pie in it's packaging.

The pie after breakfast this morning (I forgot to take a picture before I ate a piece... doesn't it look great with my counter top?)

Pie was originally a breakfast food, you know!
The socks look fabulous, but could I just move on to the PIE! Oh my gosh! I am drooling. It looks like my great-grandmother's fudge pie, which was essentially a chocolate chess pie. Although she never put strawberries on top -- but that is inspired. Next time I make one, I am going to serve it with strawberries. I used to ask my Mom to make that pie instead of cake on my birthday.
It is chocolate, right? :) Can't wait to hear about the dance!
Nice looking socks - and that pie! Yummy, yummy!
Great job on the socks! The pie looks some good...how'd it taste?
